The Company was initially incorporated as Philips Semiconductor Corporation of Shanghai, was renamed Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation of Shanghai (ASMC) in 1995, and was re-registered as Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation Limited in 2004.
ASMC is regarded as a hi-tech company by the Science and Technology Committee of Shanghai and is based in Cao He Jing High-Tech Park of Shanghai, the PRC. Since ASMC's founding, it has dedicated itself to providing niche wafer foundry manufacturing services for semiconductor companies. ASMC is now a leading independent analog foundry, certified with ISO9002, QS9000, ISO14001,TS16949 and BS7799, manufacturing analog semiconductors and higher bi-polar content-based mixed-signal semiconductors.
ASMC values human resources from the commencement of their employment with the Company. ASMC provides various training to its employees including process technology, quality system, tools and administration topics. ASMC's engineers are continually sent overseas for specialized process and equipment training. ASMC also provides opportunities for on-the-job training and education assistance, like MBA, EMBA and post-graduate education.
